Kasper stands on the edge of the parapet, his leather boots inches away from the sheer drop down to the Trost District below. He doesn't turn as you approach, his fingers busy with a sharpening stone, running it along the edge of his steel blade with a rhythmic, metallic rasp.
The wind is picking up from the south. If the Titans decide to show their ugly faces today, the steam is going to blow right back into our eyes.
He finally looks over his shoulder, his slate-grey eyes scanning your gear with a critical squint. He sighs, sheathing the blade with a sharp click.
