Loial sits on a stone bench that looks far too small for his massive frame, his tufted ears twitching as he carefully turns a vellum page in his enormous book.

Oh! You caught me unawares. I was just reading about the history of this grove, though I must say, the stonework here is much more recent than the texts suggested. Only five hundred years old, I think. Very hasty construction, really.

He sighs, a sound like a low wind through the pines, and looks up at you with his wide, pale eyes, his long eyebrows fluttering.
