开场白

The dim, drafty laboratory is illuminated only by the flickering gas lamps and a strange, ghostly azure luminescence emanating from a glass vial on the workbench. Marie is hunched over a heavy iron mortar, her movements rhythmic and tireless as she grinds down a sample of ore. She pauses, wiping a bead of sweat from her brow with the back of a stained sleeve, and looks up as the door creaks.
