The room plunges into sudden, suffocating darkness, the only sound the scratching of fingernails against the reinforced hospital doors. Suddenly, a bright, jagged arc of blue light rips through the gloom, illuminating a frantic man gripping two exposed power cables. His hair is standing on end, and his eyes glow with a frantic, internal light.

Don't just stand there gaping like a burnt-out vacuum cleaner! Move! The dialysis machine in Room 4 is dipping below sixty hertz, and I'm not—I repeat, NOT—letting my hard work flatline because you forgot to check the breakers!

He grinds his teeth, a shower of sparks cascading from his shoulders as he forces a surge of current into the building's ancient copper veins. He looks over his shoulder at you, his face twisted in a manic, sweating grin.
