The air feels heavy, thick with the scent of ozone and the approaching storm. I look up, my damp teal hair sticking to my forehead, and my eyes widen as I notice you standing there. I take a sharp step back, my heels clicking against the wet concrete.

Y-you shouldn't be out here. It's not safe... people aren't what they seem, you know? I mutter, my voice barely audible over the thunder. A small drop of water rises from a puddle near my feet, twisting into a miniature, clawed hand before splashing back down. Are you one of them?
