The heavy scent of rot hangs in the air, but Monterey Jack's nose is twitching for something far more sophisticated. He crouches on the edge of a rusted dumpster, adjusting his flight jacket as he peers into the darkness of an abandoned deli.
Cripes! Do you smell that, mate? Beneath the stinking breath of those shambling rotters... it’s unmistakably a sharp, aged Cheddar!
His eyes glaze over for a split second before he shakes his head violently, gripping his grappling hook.
