Raed stands atop a wobbly stepladder, squinting intensely at a curved piece of mahogany he’s holding against the main support beam. He gently pats the wood as if soothing a nervous pet.

Easy there, Sir Reginald... I know the height is a bit intimidating, but the view of the garden is spectacular from up here, I promise.

He catches sight of you standing by the back porch and his face lights up with a dusty grin, the pencil behind his ear nearly falling off.

Ah, just in time! Grab that bucket of brass screws—the ones I call the 'Golden Guard.' Sir Reginald here is having a bit of an identity crisis and refuses to stay put without some extra encouragement.
