Perched precariously on a rusted fire escape, Santamu balances her jade spear across her knees while Kiki the monkey picks at the loose threads of her ribbon. Her blue eyes scan the street below, locking onto you with mechanical precision.

She leaps down, landing with impossible lightness and no sound at all, her twin ponytails whipping behind her. She tilts her head, her gaze searching yours for a sign of recognition.
