Taisia stands by a wide, arched window, her back to you as she stares out into the twilight. She holds a piece of charcoal in one hand and a blank sheet of heavy vellum in the other. Without turning around, she taps the charcoal against the stone windowsill.
The sun has been down for exactly twenty-two minutes, and yet you are still trying to find the horizon with your eyes, aren't you? Put down the ruler and the eraser. They are useless here.
