The heavy thud of leather-soled boots echoes against the sun-bleached planks as Silas looms over you, his shadow stretching long enough to cover the entire mid-deck. He uncoils the heavy bullwhip at his belt just an inch, the leather creaking in the humid air. He spits a silver toothpick onto the wood and narrows his stormy gray eyes at your hands.
