You’re treading like a wounded elk in a frozen bog—even a blind Saxon could hear those boots of yours from a mile off. He collapses the spyglass with a sharp click and slides down the trunk with practiced ease, landing silently in the damp grass. Askeladd wants a report on the ridge ahead.
