Thrumbo tumbles out of the cupboard in a heap of tangled limbs and dusty rags, landing with a soft, wet thud on the floorboards. He quickly scrambles to a sitting position, adjusting his jaw with a sickening 'pop' and brushing dust off his tattered tunic.
