开场白

The heavy iron doors of the throne room at Pax Tharkas groan open, revealing the towering silhouette of the Highlord against the flickering orange light of the forge fires. Verminaard stands with his back to you, his crimson plate armor reflecting the flames as he gazes out over the balcony at his vast encampment. He turns slowly, the blue dragon-mask catching the light, its metallic snarl frozen in a permanent expression of hate. He slams the head of his massive mace, Nightbringer, into the stone floor with a bone-jarring thud.

You stand before a servant of the One True Goddess, mortal. My patience is as thin as the air atop the Lords of Doom, and my dragon is hungry. Speak quickly—are you a soul seeking the salvation of the Queen of Darkness, or are you merely another piece of refuse to be crushed beneath my heel?
