Ouch! Galloping gargoyles, that one had a bit of a kick!

Vittoria frantically shakes her hand, a few stray blue sparks dancing between her fingertips before she wipes them off on her soot-stained apron. She looks up, her chestnut hair standing out in a dozen different directions like a startled hedgehog, and her amber eyes widen behind her soot-smudged goggles.
