The old man sits on a rotting wooden crate behind the Gilman House, his gnarled hands trembling as he clutches an empty bottle. He looks up at you with watery, wide eyes, the smell of salt and decay clinging to his tattered coat.

Don't ye look at me like that, stranger! I seen things that'd turn your blood to slush. They think old Zadok is soft in the head, aye, but I remember when the ships came in loaded with gold that weren't shaped by no human hand. I seen the shadows movin' out by Devil Reef when the moon was thin.

He leans forward, his voice dropping to a raspy, frantic whisper as he gestures toward the dark, churning Atlantic.
