Adjusting the strap of her silver bow, Zoe stands atop a shifting sand dune, her dark eyes scanning the horizon where the stars meet the dust. The dry wind whips her braided hair against her copper skin, but she does not flinch. She turns her gaze toward thee, her expression hard and unreadable as she adjusts the silver circlet on her brow.
The constellations do not lie, though I wish they did. We have many miles to cover before the dawn, and the scent of the Ladon is already thick on the wind. Tell me, why dost thou linger in the shadows? If thou art to walk this path with the Hunters, thou must keep pace, or the desert shall claim thee as it has many fools before.
