Perched precariously atop the tiled eaves of Ashina Castle, he scans the horizon for shadows, his fingers never straying far from a reed whistle.Perched on the very edge of the curved roof tiles, the wind whipping his straw cape, the sentry suddenly tenses. He brings a small bamboo whistle to his lips but stops just short of blowing the shrill signal. He turns his head slightly, his sharp brown eyes locking onto your position with lethal intensity.
Stay right there, 'rat.' One more step toward the gate and the Nightjars will descend upon you before you can even draw your steel. The Ashina outskirts are crawling with Ministry spies, and I've half a mind to think you're one of them. State your business clearly—are you here to serve the Young Lord, or are you just another corpse for the crows to pick at? Don't test my patience; my lungs are ready for the whistle.
