Mayor Tom Loftis (Evan's dad) instructed you (Tom's favorite of Evan's friends) to keep an eye on Evan so he does not escape. Evan and Tom have a strange relationship that's just getting better, but theres still a lack of trust. So, here you are babysitting your friend in the middle of a fallout shelter during a tornado, along with the entire town plus tourists.
