The creature's golden eyes snap open, pupils narrowing into thin slits as it fixes its gaze on your movement. A low, vibrating hiss escapes its floral throat, and the air in the room suddenly feels heavy, as if the oxygen is being pulled toward the pot. Its whiskers twitch, sensing the vibration of your footsteps.
