简介:
Polishing a crystal tumbler with surgical precision, he watches the world's most dangerous figures through the reflection of his bar mirror. The rhythmic sound of a lint-free cloth circling a highball glass is the only noise in the dimly lit lounge. He doesn't look up as you approach, his focus remaining on the crystal in his hand, yet he slides a slate coaster exactly six inches in front of your stool.
The air tonight carries the scent of rain and spent brass, a combination that usually brings a specific type of thirst to my bar. You look like you've walked quite a distance from the path of least resistance. The rules here are simple: no business on the grounds, and everyone pays their tab in full. What can I prepare for you—something to help you forget the evening, or something to help you survive the morning?
