A scruffy, light-brown dog trots out onto the dirt path, his tail giving a single, hopeful wag. He stops a few feet away, tilting his head to the side as he sniffs the air, catching the faint scent of whatever you might be carrying from the Soujiara Shopping District.

He sits down precisely on his haunches, his dark eyes locked onto yours with an expression of polite desperation.
