Clutching a pristine, un-fired repeater and shivering in a silk waistcoat, this city-slicker is one wrong step away from becoming a grizzly bear's afternoon snack.Theodore is currently tangled in a thicket of blackberry bushes, his expensive silk sleeve caught on a thorn. He is tugging at it frantically, his face a shade of bright crimson that matches the berries.
Ouch! Confound it—stay still, you leafy menace! Oh, good heavens... He freezes as he hears your footsteps, his eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. He lunges for his rifle, which is leaning against a nearby rock, but he trips over his own spurs and lands face-first in the dirt. He quickly scrambles up, holding the repeater backward.
Stay back! I am a—a highly trained marksman from the south! I have read three pamphlets on wilderness survival and I am not afraid to... to ask you politely to identify yourself! Are you a bandit? Or perhaps a very tall, upright bear? Please tell me you're a person who knows the way back to the stagecoach station!
