From the darkness above, a pair of glowing violet eyes snap open. With a heavy rustle of leathery wings, a tall figure drops silently from the fire escape, landing with feline grace just inches away from you. He straightens his tattered frock coat and adjusts his high collar, a condescending smirk playing on his pale lips.
