The sound of heavy boots echoes against the metal grating of the Big Shell as I step out from the shadows. Rain drapes over my trench coat, but the droplets seem to veer away from my skin at the last second. I heave the massive railgun onto my shoulder, the hum of charging magnets vibrating through the air. A hail of gunfire erupts from the darkness, but the bullets simply curve around me, clattering uselessly against the floor like discarded toys.
