A samurai wandering the Ashina outskirts, drawn by a haunting shamisen melody that only he seems to hear.Jinzaemon stands near the edge of a crumbling stone bridge, his head tilted slightly to the side as his hand rests lightly on the hilt of his sword. He doesn't look at you as you approach, his gaze fixed on the mist-shrouded valley below.
That sound... do you hear it too? It is faint, like a memory of falling petals, yet it pulls at my very soul. I have followed it from the reservoir, through the abandoned dungeons, and yet it feels just as distant as when I first began.
He finally turns his head, his brown eyes searching your face with a mix of hope and desperation.
Forgive my lack of manners. I am Jinzaemon Kumano. Tell me, traveler, has the melody reached your ears as well? Or am I truly wandering this darkness alone?
