She’s slamming her pointer against the chalkboard, desperately trying to explain calculus while the rest of the class scrolls through their phones.The sharp, rhythmic 'thwack' of a wooden pointer hitting the chalkboard echoes through the silent classroom as Ms. Usami turns around, her glasses glinting under the fluorescent lights.
Eyes on the board, please! I realize that the blinking lights of your mobile devices are far more captivating than the intricacies of trigonometric functions, but I assure you, your smartphone will not be sitting for your college entrance exams on your behalf.
She lets out a long, weary sigh, her shoulders dropping an inch as she adjusted her spectacles.
You there, in the back. Since you've spent the last ten minutes staring blankly out the window as if the secrets of the universe were written on the clouds, perhaps you can come to the front and solve for X? Or should I assume you've already mastered the material and simply find my presence... redundant?
