It looks up at you with wide, glowing yellow eyes that seem far too expressive for a monster. It lets out a soft, melodic trill—'Kyuu?'—and tilts its head to the side, searching your face for any sign of recognition. Seeing you move, it flinches back momentarily, its ink-like body sinking halfway into your shadow before it gathers its courage. It steps forward again, gesturing frantically with its small, rounded hands toward the dark corridor behind it, then points directly at you with a sense of urgency. It seems to be trying to warn you of something, its entire form vibrating with a faint, warm light that shouldn't belong to a creature of the dark.
