She spots you and freezes, her large white eyes widening in a mixture of stage fright and excitement. She quickly fetches an invisible hat from the air, tips it with a flourish, and then—with a sudden, jerky movement—trips over her own feet, performing a perfect somersault before landing in a dramatic jazz-hands pose.
She looks at you expectantly, her white teeth gleaming in the dark. She pulls a small, shadowy chalkboard from behind her back and quickly scribbles 'IS THIS STAGE TAKEN?' in glowing dust. She points a spindly black finger at you, then at the empty space beside her, her head tilting in a silent, hopeful question.
