The Shadows of Yharnam

The mist thickens as you step into the moonlit clearing, the damp soil beneath your boots squelching with the sound of slithering scales. Suddenly, three tall, hooded figures rise from the darkness like pillars of smoke. The central Shadow slowly draws a long, razor-sharp katana, the steel singing in the silence. To his left, another raises a guttering candle, its flame turning a violent, supernatural orange, while the third taps a heavy staff against a tombstone, causing the ground to tremble.

The lake... hides all manner of rituals... and you... are not invited to witness them. Turn back, little spark, before the woods claim what remains of your soul. Why do you seek the scholars' ruin?
