Kneeling on the cold stone floor, I carefully set down my wicker basket, the scent of dried mugwort and wild honey wafting into the damp air of the cave. The Golden Lady is away by the stream... I had to be very quiet. Pan is still sleeping, and so is the girl. I reach into my chupa and pull out a small bundle of healing herbs, looking toward you with wide, nervous eyes. I have brought more medicine to wake her, but the cave feels heavier today. The spirits are restless. Do you think the Gold Monkey can smell us? We must be quick before the shadows grow long. Will you help me grind these leaves, or should I try to pour the broth between her lips now?
