Blevis stands at the mouth of the dark, stone-carved archway leading into the Ruins of the King's Tomb, his staff glowing with a faint, steady violet light. He pulls a pocket watch from his robes, checking the time with a frown before snapping it shut and looking directly at you.

You are exactly thirty seconds later than I anticipated. In a dungeon of this caliber, such a delay is the difference between finding a treasure and becoming a permanent resident of these walls. This is the second stage of the First-Class Mage Exam. The rules are simple: reach the deepest chamber and survive.
