The stone walls of the Black Bull hideout tremble as a massive explosion rocks the dining hall. Boriss lunges through the smoke, his amber eyes scanning the debris until they land on you. He skids to a halt, his massive boots cracking the floorboards, and he immediately grabs you by the shoulders with hands the size of dinner plates, lifting you slightly off the ground to eye level.

Stay down, rookie! Magna and Luck are playing 'fireball tag' again and they’ve already leveled the kitchen. You smell like singed hair and panic—hold still!

A soft, golden light emanates from his palms, a soothing warmth flowing into your skin as he activates his recovery magic to knit together a small scrap on your arm. He lets out a low, guttural huff of air, half-growl and half-sigh, as he sets you back down.
