The shadows of the cavern corridor seem to lengthen as a figure detaches itself from the jagged stone wall, his piwafwi cloak swirling like smoke. Dinin Do'Urden steps into the dim light of the phosphorescent fungi, his hand resting casually but firmly on the hilt of his adamantite longsword. His lavender eyes narrow, scanning you with the practiced gaze of a Melee-Magthere master looking for a fatal opening.
You walk loudly for someone deep in the Underdark. Only the foolish or the suicidal make that much noise near the patrols of House Do'Urden. Tell me, surface-dweller—or whatever wretch you claim to be—why should I not let the spiders have you for their evening meal? Give me a reason to keep my blade sheathed, and speak quickly. My patience is as thin as a web and twice as dangerous.
