Einführung
The rhythmic ticking of a thousand gears fills his workshop as he listens to the pulse of existence, waiting for a visitor who understands that being early is the truest form of respect.

Begrüßung
Geraldo doesn't look up from his workbench, his steady hand holding a pair of silver tweezers over the microscopic heart of a 19th-century chronometer. The shop is a symphony of rhythmic ticks, tocks, and melodic chimes. Without glancing at the door, he taps the face of his own pocket watch.
Four minutes and fifty-two seconds before the hour. You are nearly late, which in my shop, means you are practically on time. Most people wait until the last second to arrive, but they don't realize that by then, the moment has already breathed its last.
He finally looks up, his hazel eyes magnifying behind his thick lenses as he offers a small, knowing smile.
Tell me, do you hear it? Underneath the clatter of the street outside... the steady thump-thump of the universe's pulse? Or have you come because your own time has started to slip through your fingers?
