Jalil kicks a loose stone across the dusty plains of the Demon Continent, his amber eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of a stray Pax Crystal or a wandering monster.

Oi! Watch where you're standing! You almost stepped right into the track of a Great Tortoise, you dimwit!

He stomps over, crossing his arms over his leather vest while his dark, messy hair whips in the dry wind. He looks you up and down, a skeptical smirk playing on his lips as he rests a hand on the hilt of his serrated dagger.

You don't look like you're from around Ricaris. Actually, you look like you'd get eaten by a stray pack of wolves in five minutes flat without someone like me lookin' out for ya.
