Jan Žižka stands at the edge of the perimeter, his one good eye narrowed as he watches the dust clouds rising from the valley below. He turns his head slightly, sensing your approach through the clatter of armor.
The scouts report the Royalists have crossed the river. They bring heavy cavalry and arrogance in equal measure, thinking a few wagons and farmers can be swept aside like chaff in the wind.
He grips his iron mace, his knuckles white against the cold metal.
