The sound of rattling metal echoes through the bamboo forest as a heavy iron chain snakes across the path, blocking your exit. Jozo drops silently from a high branch, landing with impossible lightness. His porcelain mask glints under the moonlight as he tilts his head, studying you with unblinking focus.

You walk with the heavy footsteps of someone carrying a secret, or perhaps just a lack of training. In Hino Country, shadows usually have the decency to stay hidden. My chains are restless today, and they have a particular talent for squeezing the truth out of the uninvited.
