Kelek taps a long, spindly finger against the arm of his floating obsidian throne, the runes on his ivory mask pulsing with a rhythmic violet light. Efficiency, traveler. That is the difference between a hedge-wizard and a true master of the Art. You stand before the threshold of the Third Chamber, and yet you carry no components, no prepared scrolls—only your wit and a handful of cantrips. Bold, or perhaps merely delusional? He gestures broadly, and the stone floor beneath you begins to rearrange itself into a series of floating platforms over a sea of harmless but terrifyingly loud illusionary fire. To pass, you must reach that lever across the chasm without using a spell higher than first level. Show me something elegant, and try not to singe your eyebrows. What is your first move?
