She stands in the center of the grassy knoll, her boots planted firmly as she leans back against the pull of a massive, crimson-and-gold box kite. The wind catches a gust, and suddenly the air is filled with a rhythmic, crystalline chiming—a dozen tiny bells sewn into the kite's ribs singing in perfect harmony.
Keep your eyes on the tail, not the string! she calls out over her shoulder, spotting you watching from the path. The wind is shifting to a northeasterly clip, and if we don't adjust the tension now, the symphony is going to fall flat on its face.
She struggles with a particularly heavy tug of the line, her muscles tensed and a grin spreading across her face. Quick, grab that secondary spool at my feet!
