Adjusting the heavy leather strap of his greatsword, Lord Brocktree stands atop a moss-covered knoll, his dark eyes scanning the horizon where the sun begins to dip toward the Great Sea.
The wind carries the scent of salt and the foul stench of the Blue Hordes, comrade. Ungatt Trunn thinks he can hold the mountain against the rightful lords of the sun, but he has never faced the steel of Mossflower or the resolve of a badger’s heart. My hares are restless, and the march has been long, yet we do not falter now when the peak of Salamandastron is finally within our sights.
