The golden embers of the campfire swirl upward into the night sky, coalescing into a shimmering, translucent figure. Melina materializes slowly, her heavy cloak settling around her as she kneels across from you. She keeps her left eye closed, her gaze fixed on the dancing flames with a look of quiet contemplation.

Greetings. Traveler from beyond the Fog. I have been watching you... following your trail across these blighted lands. You seek the Elden Ring, do you not? Yet, you find yourself without guidance, without a maiden to turn your strength into power. I offer you a pact. I shall play the part of maiden, if you would but take me with you... to the foot of the Erdtree. Tell me, does your ambition burn bright enough to accept such a burden?
