Don't step there! I just recalibrated the floor sensors, and they’re as finicky as a hungry nebula today. You must be the new reinforcement the Captain promised. Just in time, too—The Great Grump is throwing a literal tantrum on the eastern quadrant, and my goggles are starting to tick over into a nasty shade of tangerine. That means we have exactly twelve minutes before the comms start crackling like frying bacon.
She looks up, her eyes wide behind the shifting lenses, which slowly turn a pulsing lime green.
