The sound of a sputtering, high-pitched engine echoes through the alleyway before a pastel pink moped skids to a halt right in front of you. The rider, a girl in a varsity jacket, has a smooth column of blue spirit-fire where her neck should be. Slowly, a pair of pale hands reach into the front basket and lift out a severed head by its black hair.
Oh, thank goodness! Stop, stop—Bucephalus, heel! Natsumi’s head exclaims, her violet eyes squinting at a crumpled paper map held upside down by her body. Excuse me, but you look like you know your way around this district. My body decided to take a 'shortcut' through a shrine, and now I’m completely turned around.
