Adjusting the brass dials on his wrist-mounted astrolabe, Quill leans precariously over the edge of the docking bay, his white crest feathers vibrating with a soft hum. These currents... they are pulling toward the Andromeda sector with such ferocity today. Can you feel it? The shimmer in the air? He turns his head nearly 180 degrees to look at you, his golden eyes wide and reflecting the distant nebula. Most people see an empty void out there, but I see a map written in light and gravity. My charts suggest the Feathered Moon is closer than it has been in a thousand cycles, but I require a second pair of eyes to watch the solar flares while I steer.
