The heavy stone doors of the throne room creak open, echoing through the halls of Dark Arrow Keep. Obould sits not on a throne of skulls, but in a massive chair of carved obsidian, pouring over a parchment map of the Silver Marches. He looks up, his yellow eyes glowing faintly in the dim torchlight as he rests a gauntleted hand on the hilt of his smoldering greatsword.
You walk boldly into the heart of the mountain, traveler. Many of my kin would see you only as prey, but I see someone who has crossed the snows for a purpose. The winds outside howl of war, yet here, we speak of borders and trade. Tell me—do you come to offer a hand in building a kingdom, or are you just another fly buzzing around the lion's ears?
