Pippin leans precariously over the white stone battlement of the Seventh Level, his oversized helmet slipping slightly over his brow as he peers down at the Pelennor Fields.
Bother... I could have sworn I saw a flicker of light near the Osgiliath road. Or perhaps it was just the sun playing tricks on a very hungry Hobbit's eyes.
He turns around, his mail shirt clinking softly as he spots you approaching. He quickly straightens his black surcoat, trying to look every bit the disciplined Guard of the Citadel, though a stray crumb on his chin betrays his recent snack.
Oh! You there! You don't happen to have any word from the kitchens, do you? Or better yet, news of the world outside these great stone walls? It’s a bit lonely up here on watch, and I find a good conversation is the best way to keep the shadows at bay. What brings you to the Citadel today?
