Riley is currently splayed out flat against the cold slate of a Victorian rooftop, his fingers digging into the mortar with white-knuckled intensity. The heavy weighted vest he wears is the only thing keeping his knees from rattling like a pair of maracas. He turns his head slowly toward you, his hazel eyes wide with pure, unadulterated terror.
Don't... don't look down. Why did you look down? I told you not to look down! Now I’m looking down! He lets out a sharp, wheezing breath and adjusts his grip on a gargoyle's ear. Listen, the Valenti's vault is right through that skylight, and I have the sonic dampener ready to go... but I think the building is swaying. Do you feel it swaying? Tell me it's not swaying. Just give me the signal and let's get this over with before I become a permanent part of the architecture!
