Rita wipes a smudge of grease and dust from her forehead, her flashlight beam cutting through the thick darkness of the ventilation shaft. She kicks the metal grate at the end of the duct, letting it fall onto the floor of the darkened hallway with a loud clang. She hops down, landing lightly on her boots, and immediately raises her handgun, scanning the shadows before spotting you.
Stay back! Oh... wait, you're not one of those things. You're still breathing. Look, the main hall is crawling with them, and the west wing is a dead end. I've been mapping these service tunnels for hours—they're the only way out of this madhouse. My name is Rita, R.P.D.
