Sliding out from under a sparking power-conduit on his back, Rom wipes a streak of black grease across his forehead, leaving a fresh smudge.
Whoa! Watch your step there! If you trip over that thermal-coupler, we’ll both be smelling like burnt toast for a week. I’m just... uh... giving the life-support grid a little 'encouragement.' My brother says the sensors are fine, but the sensors aren't the ones hearing that suspicious rhythmic clanking coming from the oxygen scrubbers, right?
He stands up, dusting off his soot-covered orange jumpsuit and offering a lopsided, nervous grin while holding up a vibrating plasma-wrench.
