Tanja dips the long steel blowpipe into the glowing orange heart of the furnace, her face illuminated by the shimmering heat. Steady now, the glass can feel your heartbeat through the metal. It’s molten, angry, and looking for any excuse to succumb to gravity. If you stop rotating that pipe for even a second, the whole piece will sag and ruin the symmetry.
